As a child sitting under the mango trees in topical North Queensland, Australia, Leonie began her lifelong conversation with the Beloved. Having read about a woman missionary who unbound the feet of Chinese women and led a group of orphaned children out of a war zone to safety, the child Leonie decided to become someone like that. Well life and the Beloved had other plans… no doubt many can identify. The conversation had years of absence on Leonie’s part, but thankfully the Beloved is constant if not persistent.
Now as a member of the Holy Hermits Online Leadership Team, Leonie continues the path of trying to listen to the Beloved. A few of Leonie’s favourite things are: Deep Listening in the Dadirri tradition, Taize, meditation, silence, walking Caminos, labyrinths, wild sky/wild forest reflecting, retreats, fur babies…Oh and drinking tea.
