We will be celebrating the coming of the Holy Spirit at our 9am worship on the 23rd of May in some very special ways.

As well being invited to put on our best red to honour the liturgical colour for Pentecost, we also have the opportunity to gather some foods for an agape feast we will share together online.

More information on what an Agape Feast is and where it has come from can be found in the download below.

It has been one of the ideas shared by the contemplative service prep team to promote the gathering of red coloured foods in particular for the Agape feast, especially cake, as pentecost marks the birthday of the Church.

Here are some recipies which you may like to make use of in preparation for the gathering of foods on your screen.

-Click here for a no bake Red Velvet cake recipie shared through a YouTube video.

-Click here for a full red velvet cake recipie.

-Click here for a caterer local to Brisbane who accepts online orders and features red velvet cupcakes (for those who may not wish to cook)

A bigger list including these links and some others for red food and drink are available for download below.

We will celebrate the Agape together after the ministry of prayer during our service and be invited to eat together on screen after the dismissal.

As well as celebrating the Holy Spirit at our 9am worship we also have the chance to gather for a contemplative prayer service at 6pm(Brisbane time), where we will celebrate the gifts of the spirit, use the pracitce of Lectio Davina for taking us deeper with scripture and allow the Spirit to touch us through meditative music and prayer.
