We will gather for a short prayer and blessing over our pancakes, and then share fellowship eating together for about half an hour.

Eating pancakes on Shrove Tuesday comes from a tradition of using up pantry items which are usually given up during the Lenten fast.

Pancakes can be savoury or sweet and are usually eaten to get rid of eggs and sugar, two of the commonly given up items.

Some people choose to refrain from meat during Lent, so a savoury mince or meat dish often accompanies the pancakes.

All are welcome to pop on Zoom from the kitchen/dining area or wherever they happen to be.
