Reverend Hilary will be our guest preacher for our PJ service this year on the 20th July (also Sabbath Month.)

Hilary is already a beloved member of HHO who has been joining in with us at worship this year.

She has also been part of other online Church experiences, including leading a digital community during the pandemic.

She brings more of herself forward now with this intro:

Kia ora, my name is Hilary Willett. I am a priest in the Diocese of Auckland, New Zealand. I grew up a Christian in a Baptist church in Christchurch. However, when I moved to Auckland, I increasingly moved into Anglican church spaces. I am particularly passionate about inclusion in the church, wanting all people to know and experience the love of God. This led me to explore online church as a more accessible form of gathering for some members of the body of Christ. I live with my partner Kit, and two cats (Luna and Soleil). I am very excited to be a part of Holy Hermits Online, even if my commitments at home make it difficult to attend weekly. I find Holy Hermits a nourishing place for my spirit, a place where I can "receive" from the care of Jamee and the community.

Māori proverb: He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata!
Translation: What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people!

Please pray for Rev'd Hilary as she prepares the message!

But wait... what's that about Pajamas???

Every year we have a Pajama Service to remind us all of our invitation to come to HHO community spaces however we are. We can join in from home, hospital, out and about and even from bed.

It is better to come to worship or community spaces when we are at our lowest, as well as when we are at our best, rather than wait for just the good days.

We don't have to be 'presentable' at HHO.

We come as we are!
