This service has been created using resources from Churches all around the world, and with writings from Holy Hermit St Julian of Norwich and Holy Hermit St John of the Cross making space for us to gather and bring our full selves into Christmas.
We will acknowledge the parts of us that are hurting at this time, name our griefs and sorrows before the Lord, and take heart from the saving work of Jesus and God's love which can make us whole.
In particular this service will enable us to feel while we lament and then move us to recieve refreshment, healing and renewal.
Life in abundance, what Jesus became human to give us, is the true gift of Christmas.
Life in abundance is rich with both pain and joy and the Good news is: we don't experience it alone, God, Emmanuel, is with us.
