Canon Selina McMahon has kindly agreed to bring her November session forward, so will be giving a presentation on the ways in which Science and Faith can interact.
This event will be held in person and on Zoom and will begin with a short prayer service at 9.30am.
The presentation and discussion will follow at 9.40am until 10.30am when the session will end with worship and then morning tea at 10.35am.

The Society of the Sacred Advent (SSA) has been a women’s Religious Order for over 130 years, embodying a charism of particular call for its purpose, beginning with ministering to women and children in Brisbane in the late 19th century.
Over the years this included several schools for girls throughout Queensland, homes for disadvantaged children, medical care and other forms of care.
Today we continue to be involved with St Aidan’s and St Margaret’s Anglican Girls’ Schools in Brisbane.
In 2019 the SSA began a process of re-visioning the Order to enable it to not only keep alive, but to discern God’s call in this era. This has resulted in exciting new ways of creating space for women and men to encounter the Christ in prayerful and spiritual ways.
The SSA charism continues, built on the sure foundations of those who have gone before, and trust in God’s Spirit to indeed be its life and sanctification.
We will reflect on the journey so far, including the emergence of Vowed Members and Companions of the SSA, and share some of our hopes for future possibilities as an Anglican Religious Community for the 21st Century.
