From the Dean: As Easter approaches many of us turn our minds to the buying of chocolate.

Much of the world’s cocoa is produced by children who are subject to slavery.

The Anglican Church SQ is part of a global campaign to end the use of slaves to produce this favourite treat.

You can do your bit to assist this by:

  • Buying chocolate that has been certified to be slavery free. Look for the three symbols above.
  • Asking your Supermarket manager to stock slavery free chocolate.
  • Find out more by looking here: https://www.beslaveryfree.com/chocolate

Also keeping in mind our HHO community pledge for the caretaking of creation, if you buy and eat chicken eggs as part of your easter tradition, make sure to check that they are cruetly free, free range or RSPCA approved.
