Archbishop Jeremy shared the news on Easter Friday:

"Following considerable prayer and with the concurrence of the Diocesan Council I am pleased to announce that the Reverend Canon Sarah Plowman has accepted my invitation to be an Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Brisbane and to serve as Bishop for the Northern Region."

Rev'd Sarah is known to us at HHO as one of our guest preachers and you can find her sermon from her visit with us in 2021 here: Our Vocation in the storm

Please pray for Rev'd Sarah in the lead up to her consecration on the 21st of June:

Eternal God, shepherd and guide,

in your mercy you have called Rev'd Sarah to be a shepherd after your own heart who will walk in your ways, and with loving care watch over your people.

Help her to grow as a leader of vision and a teacher of your truth.

We ask your blessings on her and her family in the lead up to her consecration and as she settles into her new role as Assistant Bishop for the Northern Region of ACSQ.

So may your Church be built up and your name glorified; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Their will be a special Wasting Time with God | St John's Cathedral Brisbane on the 1st May where Rev'd Sarah will share about her discernment journey toward the Episcopate.
