On the 8th of March Rev'd Jamee and her husband Damian are doing the Greatest Shave to create 2 hair donations for wigs, while also fundraising for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Jamee: Please keep us in your prayers, especially at 1pm QLD time, as we say goodbye to our lucious locks and hello to our scalps!

Being the first Saturday of Lent, this is a significant spiritual exercise and I am looking forward to seeing how God meets us in this. I also hope that it may serve as a reminder of those who are suffering through cancer diagnosis, treatment and especially for family and friends of those who die because of Leukaemia.

Here's a prayer:

Loving God, we hold before you all who live with blood cancer, are undergoing treatment, are supporting a loved one with cancer and those who are approaching the end of their life with cancer.

We pray for the survivors and those who have passed into eternity to be with you at peace. 

Please bless all doctors, nurses, surgeons and oncologists as they offer care to their patients.

We pray for the research teams who are searching for new treatments and cures, inspire them with your Spirit of creativity and thinking outside the box so that innovation brings change.

In the name of Jesus, Friend and Companion through all lifes experiences, we pray. Amen.
