Prayer with Amma Sarah

The Contemplative service prep team will form our service with these as our focus points, gleaned from the legacy of Amma Sarah of the Desert who is celebrated on the 13th of July each year:

• River Nile with monastery nearby
• Amma Sarah faced difficulties being accepted by others around her
• Human failings – temptations praying for strength not deliverance from – facing troubles with God’s help
• Dealing graciously with critique or challenge
• Learning to live with situations –rather than resisting them
• Antidote to people pleasing – actions speak louder than words
• Battling demons/darkness
